Product Support Engineer

Our customer is a global technology and digital transformation organization providing technology consulting, engineering, application management, cloud, data, and digital solutions to large enterprises.

For this project, the team supports a broadcast media and entertainment environment where system reliability, workflow automation, and uninterrupted content operations are critical.


We are looking for a Product Support Engineer with hands-on experience supporting Evertz MediatorX and broadcast media environments.

In this role, you will provide L2/L3 production support for media workflow orchestration and content operations, troubleshooting complex issues across MAM, ingest, transcoding, metadata, playout, content processing, and distribution workflows.

You will also contribute to automation, integrations, monitoring, and continuous improvements using Java, Python, and JavaScript.

This is a highly technical support role for someone who enjoys solving complex production issues, working across multiple systems, and improving the reliability and efficiency of critical media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for Evertz MediatorX and related media workflow environments.

  • Troubleshoot production issues involving MAM, ingest, transcoding, metadata, content processing, playout, and content delivery.

  • Analyze application logs, system behavior, integrations, and performance issues to identify root causes.

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to problem management and permanent issue resolution.

  • Develop scripts, automation tools, and technical solutions using Java, Python, and JavaScript.

  • Troubleshoot and support REST APIs, web services, XML/JSON integrations, and enterprise application interfaces.

  • Work with SQL and databases to investigate application and workflow issues.

  • Perform basic Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.

  • Support deployments, upgrades, configuration changes, and workflow improvements.

  • Monitor platform health and performance using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.

  • Collaborate with engineering, development, infrastructure, and media operations teams during critical incidents.

  • Help improve platform stability, reduce recurring incidents, and optimize operational processes.

  • Participate in production support rotations and critical incident response when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting Evertz MediatorX in a production environment.

  • Professional experience in broadcast media, entertainment, OTT, digital media, or related environments.

  • Strong experience with L2/L3 application or production support.

  • Strong understanding of media workflows and Media Asset Management (MAM).

  • Experience with broadcast workflows including ingest, transcoding, metadata, playout, content processing, or distribution.

  • Strong programming/scripting experience with Java and Python.

  • Working experience with JavaScript.

  • Experience with REST APIs and web services.

  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases.

  • Linux/Unix troubleshooting and administration fundamentals.

  • Strong experience with application log analysis and production troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and RCA.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a production environment with time-sensitive incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Evertz Overture or other Evertz products.

  • Experience with broadcast automation and playout systems.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.

  • Experience with message queues and workflow orchestration platforms.

  • Experience with OTT and streaming workflows.

  • Experience with cloud-based media operations.

  • Experience with file transfer, content delivery, archival, and retrieval systems.

  • Experience supporting 24×7 production environments.

  • Experience in sports broadcasting or entertainment technology.

Working Environment

  • Production-focused environment supporting critical broadcast and media operations.

  • Willingness to work with India-shift coverage and overlap with US time zones.

  • Participation in critical production support rotations may be required.
