Regional Sales Manager

Our client, a subsidiary of a leading Chinese state-owned industrial group, is expanding its commercial presence in Mexico. The company specializes in building materials and industrial solutions and is seeking an experienced commercial professional to lead market expansion and develop a strong distribution network across the region.


The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and expanding the company’s sales network in Mexico. This role requires a strong commercial background within the steel industry, proven experience building long-term customer relationships, and the ability to identify, negotiate, and onboard strategic distributors and business partners.

The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing the company’s market presence while ensuring sustainable sales growth and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the regional sales and channel development strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, approach, negotiate, and onboard new distributors, dealers, and strategic business partners.
  • Expand and strengthen the company’s commercial presence within the Mexican market.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer demand.
  • Develop a qualified pipeline of business opportunities and manage the complete sales cycle.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations, prepare proposals, and support contract execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel regularly to visit customers, distributors, and business partners throughout Mexico.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of commercial experience in B2B industrial sales.
  • Mandatory experience within the steel industry.
  • Proven experience in sales network development, distributor management, or business development.
  • Existing customer relationships and industry network within the steel sector are highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience analyzing market opportunities and driving business growth.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Mexico.
  • Ability to work full-time from the Mexico City office.
